Terms of Use
Short terms, because there is not much to them. This site publishes what it can source with a date against it, and it is built to hand an estimate request to one solar contractor, which it cannot do yet because no contractor is attached to it.

The arrangement, in one paragraph
Nashville Apex Solar matches a request to a contractor. It is not a solar company. It designs no systems, puts nothing on a roof, repairs nothing, takes nothing down, employs nobody who does any of that, and holds none of the registrations that work requires. The money runs the opposite way to the way it looks: a contractor pays for the introduction and you pay nothing. The about page sets the same thing out at greater length.
Where our part of it stops
Handing the request on is the entire job. There is nobody to hand it to today, because no contractor is attached to this site, and that sentence is the first thing to check if you want to know whether it is still the case.
Once there is one, the line gets drawn at the hand-off. Price, equipment, scheduling, the standard of the work and whatever warranty stands behind it would all belong to the contractor. We would set none of them, we would not be a party to the agreement you reached, and we would not sit in judgement over it afterwards.
Nobody's paperwork is checked by us on anybody's behalf, and no sentence on this site implies that it has been. A request commits nobody to quoting it. A quote commits you to nothing at all.
Nothing here is advice about your particular roof, your particular power bill or your particular tax position. It is a description of how this market works, which is the most a web page can honestly be. Where a page touches a credit, an incentive or an export programme it is reporting what a named publisher has put in writing. Your own return is a question for whoever prepares it.
What the numbers here are, and what they are not
Every rate, threshold, fee and deadline on this site carries the name of whoever published it and the day it was read. That is not a stylistic habit. The federal position on residential solar moved inside the last two years, part of it has been through a courtroom since, the fuel cost adjustment on a power bill here is reset every month, and permit fees are set and revised by whichever office your address falls under.
So the date is part of the figure rather than a footnote to it. Each one was right when it was checked and each one links back to where it came from. Before a figure decides a purchase, a permit application or a tax return for you, open the source and see what it says today. A number that moved after we read it is not something we can answer for.
None of them is a quote. What a system costs on a particular roof depends on the roof, the consumption, the equipment and which utility the address sits under, and finding that out is what an estimate is.

The sources quoted here belong to the organisations that publish them. They are linked so that you can read the original rather than a summary of it, and every one is checked for a response before it ships and again at launch. After that the far end is out of our hands: a page that was accurate on the day we read it can be rewritten, moved behind a login or taken down.

Which version of these terms applies
These terms change when the thing they describe changes. The date at the head of the page is the last time that happened, and the version binding on any request is whichever one was published on the day it was sent. Tennessee law governs them.
